[rs=2] | ← EVERYONE HAS A NAME, SO WHAT'S YOURS KIDDO? well my name is devin olivia ward. a lot of people just call me dev, or devi, but i'll pretty much answer to whatever you can come up with. i'm not sure if i'm named after anyone, but my parents did have a fascination with unisex names for me and my sisters. i think my middle name comes from a great-grandmother or something. someone i've never met anyhow. ← WELL THAT'S A NAME FOR YOU. SO HOW OLD ARE YOU? i was born april 15th and i'm twenty-two years old. ← SPEAKING OF BIRTHDAYS, WHERE DID YOU HAVE YOUR FIRST? i was originally born in illinois. after i turned thirteen, my family moved here to miami. it was pretty convenient, cause i always knew that i wanted to study photojournalism here at the university of miami. ← SOUNDS LIKE A NICE PLACE. SO TELL ME, WHAT DO YOU LIKE? well, i love having a good time. my favourite colour is green. i like marshmallows, preferably toasted or in s'more form. um, i guess you could say that i like to party. i would much rather be dancing on a bartop with a 26-er of grey goose in my hand, as opposed to staying in and watching movies. i love, love photography. it has always been my passion. my most recent purchase was my nikon camera, which i'm totally in love with. i like disney movies, too. ← THOSE ARE GREAT THINGS BUT WHAT DON'T YOU LIKE HUN? i hate being lied to. i've been lied to so many times in the past, that i just can't deal with it. i also hate people who are really positive. i'm a pessimist, so overly optimistic people irk my nerves. i don't like people who think they're more mature than me because they don't drink or party. y'know, good for you! you have a level-head on your shoulders! i don't like family-oriented things. like sunday dinners, or whatever else my family has ever tried to pressure me into doing with them. ← ANY OF THOSE THINGS HAVE TO DO WITH YOUR CHILDHOOD? hm. well, growing up with three older siblings and two younger siblings was never easy. i guess that's how i developed so many of my pet peeves. i usually kept to myself. spending as much time with my friends that i could, avoiding everything to do with my family. i mean, it isn't that i don't love them, i do love them all very much. it's just not something that i'm interested in showing off. ← RIGHT RIGHT, AND WHO WAS PART OF THAT ANYWAYS? well, my dad's name is mark and my mom's name is laura. i have two older brothers and an older sister. as well as two younger siblings who are fraternal twins. i know, large family. i honestly do not know how my parents have remained so stress-free all these years. ← AH, WELL I BET THEY HAVE A LOT TO DO WITH YOUR HABITS HUH? you can say that again. i'm a constant nail-biter because it calms me. i also have a nervous habit of touching my hair whenever i'm around new people. fear of someone running up with scissors or gum i guess. ← SO ANYTHING THAT GIVES YOU THE HA BEEBIE JEEBIES? i'm actually terrified of death. it's like, where do we go after? i'm also scared of deep water. i love the beach, but I just don't like swimming out to wear I can't touch the bottom anymore. i'm pretty scared of failure, but i mean that isn't something i can help. ← HOW'S THE LOVE LIFE GOING KIDDO? i'm actually not ready for a relationship right now. i have certainly had my share of one-night stands. i'm not going to deny what my body wants just because i'm not looking for a boyfriend. i can have fun still, right? ← THAT'S STEAMY, SO LET'S GET PERSONAL. COOL WITH YOU? a lot of people see me as this wild, loud, party girl. i guess they are right for the most part, but i'm not in party mode 24/7. i've also heard the words seductress and player be thrown around a few times. i guess that's also true, because i have slept with a number of different people. i can be pretty serious, especially when it comes to my photography. i can be very blunt and pessimistic. i'm a pretty good friend when i manage to really connect with someone. aside from that, i probably have more enemies strewn throughout miami than good friends. ← SPEAKING OF PERSONAL, WHAT'S YOUR SECRET HUN? i'm not a very secretive person. i guess the only secrets i have are stuff i've kept from my parents or siblings. like that fact that i have started snorting cocaine, or the fact that i party as much as i do. simple stuff like that. ← PROMISE I WON'T TELL. SO WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS? well, i would like to finish up school. i have an internship lined up this summer with a magazine to start learning some stuff. that's about all i want. just to succeed with what i love doing most. ← WELL THAT SOUNDS GREAT.
