like always, lucy didn't know where she was going but she would as soon as she saw a place she liked. which didn't take very long. she was starving and still felt a bit tired so her first stop was at the cafe. it was early, early for lucy, but there were still many people there. mostly older couples or families. lucy smiled at one of the kids then went to the counter and ordered a coffee & some bread. not the healthiest breakfast, but lucy wasn't much for healthy. she just went for convenient and delicious. it didn't take long for them to give her her stuff, which she paid for before taking a seat at a table closest to the window. lucy devoured her bread but took her time with the coffee. the warmth tickled her throat while the bitter taste made her shiver. but it was delicious. lucy got up once more to get more bread then went back to her spot. for such a crappy morning, it was starting to get a little better. all she needed was some good music and a couple of people and she would be set.

[/style] ella needed to get out of the apartment. lily was driving her crazy. the toddler was potty training and it was a constant battle to just get her to go on the potty let alone to pee or do her other business on it. sitting on the floor the cold hard floor in her dimly lit bathroom ella davenport looked up at her daughter who was perched on the toilet, red pigtails bobbing as she was screaming that she didnt want to use the big white machine. ella couldnt help but chuckle. she had been sitting there for almost an hour and lily was starting to lose it. ella finally let out a long sigh and stood up. alright lil, pull up your pants. the toddler stood up straight and pulled her jeans up, her tiny fingers buttoning them with ease. she was a smart girl, smart like her dad. well before the drugs. lily was only freshly 2, but she knew alot more then most 2 year olds. tat was ella's goal. to teach her how to be smart, and to not mess up like she did.
a few moments later there was a knock at the apartment door. ella opened it, it was the babysitter. as the girl walked in ella smiled, she had business to do regarding work. she worked at a local cafe. smiling and kissing her daughter on the head she handed the sitter her last 20 till friday, and it was only wednesday. walking down into the sun ella shaded her face. as she walked she kept her pace steady, in case she ran into anyone she didnt want to see, or vise versa. as she walked she kept her head down. practically being in hiding for two years, ella learned how to seperate herself from everyone. she was what some would say, socially awkward. she hated putting herself in social situations due to the fact, she hid from them for a whole year and a half. after lily was born, it was hard to take the toddler anywhere without questions. now she simply took her outside of miami to spend time with her.
walking into the cafe ella felt the cool air conditioning hit her face. the familiar smells ran through her nose. she loved working here. walking in the back she spoke to the manager quickly. after reappearing in the cafe she paused, there on the stool sat a good friend of hers. walking over she didnt want to scare her so she eased into the seat across from her. hey luce she said a small smiling appearign on her face. lucy was the only person that knew about lily and why ella moved back home. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 400px; background-color: #343434; padding:20px; border-top: 10px #af9390 solid; border-bottom: 10px #af9390 solid;] i'd pay to see you frown ( WORDS ) 448 ( TAGGED ) ANYONE ( STATUS ) COMPLETE lucy looked down at her phone, not that surprised that she no one had left her a message. almost no one she knew was awake at this time, not even her parents. she kept looking at it though, they would freak if she wasn't there when they woke up. yet they didn't worry when she was gone at night. lucy was almost never home at night anyways, she was a night owl, always out in the town while the sun was down. normal parents probably would have been on her case but since she had a job, they treated her like an adult. except when it came to chores, then she was like a kid. anyways, she yawned once more, the fifth time in just ten minutes. the coffee had yet to kick in, it would probably take three more cups of coffee for her to function normally. which meant she would be energized for hours thus losing sleep. it was a nasty cycle but lucy learned to live with it. anyways, she devoured her second piece of sweet bread, and contemplating getting more before a figure made its way into the seat in front of her. now, under normal circumstances, she would have acted cool. but these were not normal circumstances.
so when she heard the person speak, she jumped up, her eyes big and wide in surprise even though she recognized the voice. lucy looked up and smiled when she saw ella's face. it took her a moment to remember that ella worked here. "hey ella" lucy said, a toothy grin on her face. she looked around before whispering," how's lily". lucy was referring to the 2 year old little girl that lily had. she would have talked openly about the child but it was kind of a secret. luckily, lucy was good with secrets even if she had a bit of a habit of saying what was on her mind. she usually had an honesty policy, but ella was her friend and she was put above that policy. it had to be pretty bad though, miami wasn't horrible but the people could be cruel. lucy might have been bitchy but she would never say things to someone just to be mean. because of cruel people, ella could only take lily to places outside of miami. she looked at ella and realized that she kind of zoned out. "i was going to go visit yesterday but i didn't think she would be awake at three in the morning" lucy said. as she took another sip of her coffee only to realize that she had finished it already. there would definitely be no sleep for her tonight.
