[rs=2] | born and raised here in miami, gabrielle baker was born into a family that didnt have alot. her parents were married at a young age and her father had just gotten layed off from his job. growing up gabby was best friends with her little sister, kelly. her and kelly did everything together. they were only a year apart and were practically twins. it wasnt until one of gabby's teachers became obsessed with her, that things got hard. he was sickly obsessed with her, and it really didnt get to her until she would see him outside of her house late at night. she remembers where she was and what she was doing the night he snapped. "i remember, i was sixteen and kelly was fifteen. my father was out of town trying to get a big management job and momma was cooking dinner. it was silent in the house. kelly and i were doing our makeup and being typical teenagers. then i heard it. the loud bang. my mother ran up the steps, terrified and clutching her stomach. she had been shot. shoving me under the bed she shoved kelly into the closet, but it was too late. he stormed in, shooting my mother to death. he had his fun with my sister, while i sat under the bed and watched. i called the cops later that night and they arrested him. he was put in jail, but im always terrified he will get out" after her father came back, things didnt get better. he soon hit alcohol and ended up overdosing on drugs. now gabby is on her own. no family, no one. she enrolled in miami university under federal aid and is going to become a child services agent. she wants to help others, while she still can. |
