i can live without you but without you i'll be miserable at best She really didn't think much about why such a sweet guy would be paying so much attention to her and putting up with all of her...issues. To her, he was just another friend and her best one, at that. Even after changing into a tank top, shorts, and flip-flops with a striped bikini beneath, she still was trying to figure all of it out. She found the collars with the dog tags attached to the metal ring and quickly put them on the dogs, whom seemed to sense when they were going to go bye-bye. The dogs suited her, simply because they were literally about as rambunctious as she was. The Great Dane was always the one to knock her over while the Dalmatian was more content to bask in the aftermath of his companion's wreckage. She managed to get them both into her honda civic without much incident, granted the real issue would be driving while they squirmed around, trying to clamber into her lap, which wouldn't really be a good thing for anybody but for now, she decided to deal with everything one step at a time.
In a hurried message, she had told Alvin to meet her at the dog beach. He would either come or he wouldn't but there was a secret part of her that hoped he did, simply because she loved being in his company. She could forget the world for a while when she was with him. He was one of the few that seemed to know her better than she knew herself, which came as a pleasant surprise. It meant that she didn't have to bear the weight of the world on her shoulders all on her own. He always seemed to have a knack for knowing when she needed him most, even if she didn't ask for his comfort. Once upon a time, she briefly entertained the idea that he might just be a psychic, sent to guard over her when the other people in her life simply weren't able to do so themselves.
No matter what happened, she'd know that she would always have a large system of support. Between four siblings, Eliza, Perry, and Alvin, she was pretty much set for life. Perhaps, another reason they were so overprotective of her was because she had the mentality of a child and was just about as naive but naturally, she never even thought of that possibility, which was all too likely. While she drove the bright, blue car, which she finally had come to nickname as Blueberry, the dogs made her life a little less hectic by becoming like statues in the backseat. As the car rolled to a stop at the light, she picked up her phone and glanced down at the screen, tapping her free hand lightly against the steering wheel. From the speakers of her car, music pulsed softly, and she found herself humming quietly along to it. She wasn't one to sweat the small things, so she didn't even care what song it was, especially not when it had such a catchy tune.
Just as the light turned, she tossed her phone onto the passenger seat and set the car in motion again. It didn't take her long to get to the beach and as soon as she opened the door, the Great Dane leaped out of the car, quickly followed by the Dalmatian. They had been here before and luckily for her, they were mostly trained, so they knew the drill. Dutifully, they sat at her feet, and she knelt down to take hold of the leashes while she waited for her chipmunk to arrive. On occasion, the overprotective pair would tense up as if to say 'if you screw with her, you screw with us.' If nothing else, she could add her dogs to the growing list that was her support system. Of course, because she lived with her brother and Eliza, it was hard to tell what they thought of the two, new additions to their happy, little family. words 000 tagged alvin notes d'aw <3 |

It was a gorgeous day outside so Alvin decided that he would take a walk from where he lived to enjoy the bright, Miami sun. Okay, Alvin didn't own a car, but he was saving up for one and was almost at his capacity. He had his eyes set on a particular car from a dealership and would probably close the deal some time this summer. Until then, he made a living walking or riding with Sera in her... Blueberry Honda, as she liked to call it. It was a cool car, but Alvin wanted to drive something of his own. He enjoyed being with Sera, but he would enjoy it much more had he had the chance to drive his own car. No, driving Sera's car did not count, as she often made him drive to their destinations. Nonetheless, Alvin was in the market for a car and he was ready to make a move.
It was pretty hot out, so Alvin dressed for the occasion of walking Sera's two dogs by wearing a loose fitting cali tank top, some swim trunks, and some sandals. Although Alvin was a pretty confident guy, the one thing he was always insecure about was his body. He wasn't particular a muscular guy but he wasn't super skinny. He kind of felt pressure to workout more, seeing as how Sera was all goo goo eyes over one of her professors. He didn't really understand how she liked him, but, Alvin supported her feelings. Besides, she did say that it probably nothing right? Those types of things only happened in the movies.
Eventually, Alvin reached the beach, seeing the formation of sand build up as he approached. A smile sprouted on his face as he saw Sera putting the leashes on her two dogs. With a witty smirk, Alvin approached the trio, but then knelt down to the eye level of the canines and said to Sera, "You sure you don't want me to walk you?" He teased with a smirk on his face as he stood up, brushing himself off as he rubbed both of the dogs heads before quickly hugging Sera before she could make a comeback at him. The hug was quick, but Alvin enjoyed it. Sera was his best friend, perhaps immediately when they met. Their chemistry was excellent as friends, but that's just what it was: friends.

i can live without you but without you i'll be miserable at best She felt her cheeks getting hot and tried to hide it by hiding behind a curtain of dark hair. She rose slowly and rubbed her eyes, resting her head against his shoulder. She still clutched the leashes tightly in her hands and after a moment of resting against him, she pulled away long enough to hand him one of the leashes. More than likely, it was Bruiser's leash. The Great Dane had the strength to drag her along the sandy shore, and she damned sure didn't want that. Talk about embarrassing. If the Dalmatian mix decided to make a break for it, it wouldn't take as much effort to hold him back.
She poked her chipmunk's nose playfully then righted herself, stretching her arms above her head. She glanced toward him and blinked. "So, how is work going for you?" She queried innocently, tilting her head. "Does that guy still hate you for taking his job? And you should teach me!" She giggled and poked his side.
Alvin had been her friend for a while now, and she never regretted it. If nothing else, she knew she was in good hands when she was with him. Sure, she couldn't cook to save her life, but she was always able to have a good time with him. Even she had noticed that they balanced each other out. If she hadn't, perhaps she should have gotten her eyes checked. "I'm starting to envy you for dropping out of the law field." She admitted, chuckling and shaking her head slowly. words 000 tagged alvin notes d'aw <3 |

Alvin took Bruiser's leash as the duo began to walk along the shore of the beach. Sera was strangely quiet initially, but naturally she opened up and asked him how work was going. For the most part, it was going great for Alvin. "Everything's going great... I made a buttload of money in tips last weekend, like $450." Alvin grinned as he realized that he was closer to the reality of buying his first car. He could only imagine picking up Sera instead of having her pick him up. "Oh that guy? I haven't seen him around since he harassed me last month. Yep, he's still mad about me taking his job, but I was only being truthful when he brought us that horrible food. I mean... you saw the obvious hairs in the food. That was disgusting." Alvin wrinkled his nose and shook his head, remembering that day vividly.
Teach Sera? Yeah right! Alvin laughed to himself as he watched her closely as they walked along side each other. For now, Bruiser was being obedient to Alvin's wishes of not straying off anywhere. Hopefully he would remain that way for the rest of the walk. Maybe it was because the Sun was so enjoyable today that he actually didn't mind walking. "Me teach you, Sera? C'mon... the last time I even tried to teach you, you almost burned my kitchen down to the floor. Who knew you could burn boiling water!" Alvin teased her as he gave her a light jab on the shoulder. Okay, she didn't burn water, but she might as well had! How does one burn scratch cookies?
"How are things going for you and what's-his-face?" Alvin said, kind of in a forced manner. He mentioned the professor that she had taken an interest to. The sincerity in his voice was also forced, but Alvin's upbeat voice kind of made it sound like he was actually interested. He was far from it. As she talked, Alvin took the liberty of observing her, hoping she didn't catch him admiring her natural beauty. Sera was certainly cute, the only problem was, well, she wasn't mentioning how happy she was about skyping him last night. Their skypes decreased in number, so today was kind of exciting.

i can live without you but without you i'll be miserable at best Her eyes practically popped out of their sockets as they widened at the mention of the amount of tips he had made. With a low whistle, she shook her head and shot him a grin. "You go, chipmunk!" Holding the leash in one hand, her free hand sought his, fingers interlacing. She hummed quietly as she nestled against his side, lazily swinging their hands to and fro. "What I don't get is how they managed to get away with it that long." She paused and bit her lip, glancing toward the glistening water that lapped at the beach.
After a moment of silence, she glanced back toward him. "I mean...they have stuff to regulate that, right? Like...health inspectors and all that. Better yet, why didn't anybody complain before us and if they did, why wasn't anything done?" She shuffled along beside him, momentarily pulling away to rub her eyes then she went back to nestling against his side and holding his hand, which was larger than her own. "That was only one time!" She protested as her lower lip quivered lightly.
When the mention of her professor hung in the still air, she froze momentarily. "He's...um, good. Classes are going alright, and he's keeping us busy with all of his economic blah." She gave a faint chuckle and dropped her head to rest against his arm. "What's the deal with that poster on your wall? It wasn't there last time." She tilted her head and looked up at him, blinking. words 000 tagged alvin notes d'aw <3 |

"Yeah I know right?" Alvin grinned as his fingers were laced with Sera's. Despite the obvious heat that was fuming outside, his ears flushed and turned hot and red. Fortunately his long hair covered his ears so that Sera wouldn't notice. "I honestly don't know either. The chefs were just so freaking lazy to actually check the food before handing it over to the waiters and waitresses. I had never been so mad in my life!" Alvin laughed, reflecting on how appalled he was that an allegedly gourmet restaurant would sabotage his hunger with disgusting hair in beautiful looking food. Bad memories. Bad.
"Oh yeah, definitely. The restaurant is checked thoroughly now every month, even so, I do a little bit of inspecting myself because I know I've got a head full of hair that could just -pop-" he made a popping noise, "out at any moment." He then heard her protest about her almost burningt he house down. One time? "Haha, really Sera? Are we really gonna go there today?" He smiled and teased her, "Once is enough, trust me. Nah, I'm fooling. We could do that after we get done walking Scooby Doo and the one-hundred and first dalmatian."
And then mention of Sera's professor came up. He listened closely for anything new in particular to pop up, but when it didn't, Alvin breathed a sigh of relief in his mind when she only mentioned class related matters. She would tell him if anything else happened. She then asked him about a poster, which he was confused about. "What poster?
