[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 340px; padding: 30px; ]i swear to you, i'll be there for you. Ryan was tired of studying. Normally, he enjoyed his studies; he liked learning new things, especially when it came to medicine. He was eager to learn, eager to finish school, and eager to get into med school. Lately, his mind had been elsewhere. He blankly stared at the textbook on the table in front of him, his laptop open to a blank Microsoft Word page. He dropped the pen he had been holding along the spine of his textbook and slapped it shut. Pushing himself away from the computer desk in his room, he closed the laptop and stood to his feet. He stretched quickly before padding down the hallway. "Dill?" he called out, unsure if she would be back from errands, or work, or wherever she had told Ryan she needed to be this morning. When she didn't respond, Ryan took that as an assumption that Dillion wasn't home yet. He grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl on the kitchen counter and made his way into the living room. Flopping onto the couch, he grabbed the television remote control and flicked on the TV. He surfed through the channels, before landing on a baseball game.
It was hard to concentrate on the game. His mind was swarming with thoughts about Dillion. They were best friends; there was no denying that Ryan cared about her. His only problem right now was how much he cared for her. He loved her. He had loved her since the first time they met here in Miami. When Dillion had first found out that she was pregnant, Ryan had jumped at the opportunity to be there for her. When she needed a place to stay, he hadn't hesitated to take her in. His only problem was that she didn't know he loved her. He had never told her. He thought about telling her every second of every day, but now wasn’t the right time. There were so many pros and cons attached to confessing his feelings to Dillion. He held them all in, continued on as if they were non-existent. He bit a chunk out of the apple and shook the thoughts from his head. He focused his attention on the television, waiting for Dillion to walk through the door. this is not a driveby. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 340px; padding: 30px; ]this time wont you save me Dillion chewed on her bottom lip as she ran her fingers across a few of the onesies they had on the small table. Everything was coming a lot faster than she had imagined it would and she still hadn't told Jason nor talked to her mother after she had kicked her out. The only thing Dillion could do now was shop for the twins she'd be having in only five months. Just the unisex items, car seats, bottles, wipes, diapers. Ryan usually helped out with the shopping, especially when she had purchased the bigger items that she was unable to carry, but today Dillion had decided to go on her own, that and she felt bad for always burdening him. He had been a lot more willing than she expected but she couldn't be anymore thankful. He had a lot on his plate and Dillion made it much heavier. She promised herself though, once she was fully stable she'd repay him, in any way that she could.
After paying for a box of diapers, a few solid color onesies, an Abazaba to satisfy her taffy craving, and a chocolate bar for Ryan, Dillion was on her way back home. Over thinking like she always did, she tried to keep herself strictly on getting home safely instead of letting her thoughts consume her. She couldn't like that her and Ryan had gotten much more closer then they previously were. She liked it, having someone close to her without having to always worry about what they'll do that night or what mess they would get into, mostly what she had to worry about when she was with Jason. Dillion though wasn't with Ryan, they were just really good friends, the best of friends since he came to Miami, but she couldn't help but feel a connection with him at the oddest of times. She felt comfortable. Chewing on her bottom lip Dillion made a turn towards the apartment and pulled into the parking lot.
Struggling slightly with the box of diapers, Dillion dropped the box on the floor and let out a breath of relief before pulling out her key to the apartment. Pushing the door open she bent down to pick up the box once again and mumbled out, "I got you a chocolate bar!" She managed out a laugh and finally got the box into the house, moving it towards the side of the door. "The big boxes should come with wheels I swear." Dillion laughed and the sides of her mouth curved up into a smile as she tossed the bag of onesies and candy bars on the chair close to the door. baby i can feel myself giving up. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 340px; padding: 30px; ]i swear to you, i'll be there for you. Ryan had managed to turn his brain off long enough to get slightly involved with the game on the TV. He leaned toward the television, elbows resting on knees, chin perched on palms. He chewed the inside of his cheek as the game got more intense. He wasn’t normally a baseball person, but today he needed something to busy his mind with. After all, his best friend –the girl whom he was in love with, was pregnant. As the opposing team hit enough homeruns to pull them into the lead, Ryan grew tired of watching it. He leaned back against the couch, reached for the remote control, and flicked off the television. The silence of the apartment grew quite eerie, so Ryan padded toward the kitchen. He was pretty hungry, he soon realized as his stomach let out a low groan. He checked the time on the stove, curious as to when Dillion was going to get home.
As he stared at the contents of the refrigerator, rustling from outside the apartment door caught his attention. He pushed the fridge door closed, but before he could reach to door to check who was outside, it was thrown open revealing a struggling Dillion.
I got you a chocolate bar! She mumbled, which brought a small smile to Ryan’s face.
When she laughed, he laughed with her. “Good thing, I was pretty much near starvation here,” he replied, walking to her side. At the sight of her struggle, Ryan reached out a helping hand.
The big boxes should come with wheels I swear. At that, Ryan felt a pang of guilt. He had been holed up in his room, studying with the door closed. Had he left the door open, Dillion may have asked for his help to run errands.
“You know, you could have told me you were going out. I would have gladly tagged along to help,” he stated, picking up the boxes she had slid across the floor. He took a quick glance at the bag she had tossed on the chair; it was filled with baby things and candy bars. He smiled at her, again. He nodded down at the box in his hand. “Any specific place I should stash these?” he asked, taking a quick look around the apartment. Waiting for her response, his stomach let out another low growl, reminding him that he was indeed very hungry. “Also, back to the whole starvation thing, let’s order in tonight. My treat,” he added, patting his stomach with his free hand. this is not a driveby. |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 340px; padding: 30px; ]this time wont you save me “Good thing, I was pretty much near starvation here,”
Dillion smiled small before putting her hand to her forehead. She groaned lightly and shook her head. She had planned on going grocery shopping but her mind overflowed with other thoughts that she forgot. Frowning lightly, she pushed the box lightly into his direction, thankful for it to be off her hands. It's surprising how difficult it could be holding a box of diapers, but pregnancy tended to complicate the littlest of things.
"I'm so sorry. I had it on my things to do today, buy groceries. It slipped my mind" She bit gently on her bottom lip as she waddled to the couch, sitting down for a few seconds to catch her breath. Her hands rested softly on her stomach, rubbing it gently with both of her thumbs. She smiled small before glancing up at Ryan as he spoke.
“You know, you could have told me you were going out. I would have gladly tagged along to help,” Dillion instantly shook her head and smiled, pushing herself up and off of the couch. She walked over to where she had throw the bag and grabbed it. Dillion pulled out the candy and set it on the table before the couch.
"No no no, I bother you enough. And plus, I have to get use to doing some things on my own." She let out a short laugh and smiled small before glancing down at the bag and pulling out the onesies. It was true, it wasn't like Dillion was going to live with him forever, he was only helping her until she could steady herself financially. Then she would move into her own apartment and pay him back. Clearing her throat she folded the onesies and set them onto the couch, she crumpled up the plastic bag and glanced back over at Ryan.
“Any specific place I should stash these?......Also, back to the whole starvation thing, let’s order in tonight. My treat,”
Thinking for a second Dillion nodded and tucked some of her red hair behind her ear. "I think my closet is all full but if you don't mind we could put it in the hallway closet?" As he went on Dillion nodded her head and smiled small. "Are you sure? I feel bad enough that I forgot to get food.."
note: blah. D: sorry. it'll be better.
