[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] a line of lyrics goes here She eyed him as he said they'd have to get in the ring soon. Quickly, she pounced on him and exerted all her strength to pin him to the couch with her hands. She smiled down at him innocently. "Oh look, we don't have to get in the gym because...I already win." She giggled, taking her hands off of him and easing back to her previous position. Gavynn was extremely playful, and competitive and it showed if you ever got her to relax.
She shook her head at him saying that it would take a lot more than poking before laughing. "You're something else. And I'm already aware that it'll take more than that. But your half way there." Gavynn bit her lip before going on to start her observations. "You seem like you would like to be more. But it's like you're more comfortable with what you know and you don't want to give it." She quietly observed. She wasn't a psych major but for some reason she cared about him and wanted to figure him out.
Gavynn listened and tired to hide her shock. She watched him as it seemed like a struggle to reveal himself to her. And when he finally looked up at her and they locked eyes Gavynn swore she felt a jolt of something. Whatever it was compelled her to slide closer and hug him while rubbing his back. She was an affectionate person by nature, it was simply that he never got to see that side of her . She slid back into her previous position biting her lip. "It's okay. I understand. I was raised by my dad. My mom slept with his sister and screwed everything up. I know how it is to only be raised by one person....and with the parent who's not really a parent at all.." She stopped and sighed. "You love them because you have to but there's this anger there...And it's confusing and it hurts really badly. But then, one day you're going to be able to look back and say I made it without you."

Donnie was much stronger than Gavynn, but he allowed her to get her few jabs in and then pin him down. A suggestive position no less. Donnie shot her a flirty look as she eventually went back to her side of the couch. He listened to her explain her what she though about Donnie and he felt kind of guilty for it. He was comfortable in his lifestyle so she hit the nail right on the head. The only beef he had with her statement was that she really didn't have an alternative for him. "A'ight, so what you're saying is that I should stop doing what I'm doing then right? Okay, I'm up for the challenge then." He grinned at her, serious about this friendly bet, or that's what he saw it as, "How do you suggest I go about changing for the better. Gimme something."
Before he knew it, Gavynn hugged him, sympathizing with his story. Her story was just as messed up as his was so he could relate to how she was feeling. It felt great having someone who could relate to him here, just like back home. Only difference was Gavynn wasn't male, she wasn't bad, and she was gorgeous as hell. The hug felt warm, it reminded him of his mother, in a good way. When she released, part of him felt empty as his mouth kind of shifted, signifying he lost his cool for a moment but he regained it quickly, hoping she didn't notice. "Yeah, that's where I'm at now. I realized I don't need my dad anymore. I mean, I'm in college and I made it without him, so, yeah."
He smiled as he sat for a moment and looked off towards the television. For some reason, he felt even more comfortable with Gavin, feeling a bit more vulnerable than he probably should. Trying to prevent anymore random silence, he asked the question to her that he asked her earlier again, "How should I go about changing into this person that you think I have the potential to be? Since you obviously see some good in me." Donnie really didn't have an idea of what he should, honestly, because he was lost as to how to completely change himself for the better. He wasn't expecting to do this so suddenly. Gavynn had him at her fingertips at this point.
Notes: Gotcha!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] a line of lyrics goes here Gavynn tried to ignore the butterflies she felt as he grinned at her. It proved to be infectious, making her grin from ear to ear also. Gavynn hadn't just wanted him to change for the sake of change. She wanted him to change because she saw something in him that he wasn't seeing in his self. If he continued down this path she was afraid that all the good she saw in him could be going to waste. She watched as his mouth shifted quickly before he recovered. Knowing it was a same sign of the bereft feeling she was experiencing now that the touch had been lost she reached over and rubbed his knee with an encouraging smile. "You did. And you're doing it well. So forget him." She stated.
Gavynn smiled when he asked her to suggest how he could go about bettering himself. "Hmm," She tapped her chin and pretended to think. "First, you need to surround yourself with like minded people. People who aren't complacent. People who want to go and do things...and people who care about you and your wellbeing, most importantly." Those people for Gavynn had been her sorority sisters. She loved them for all of the support they gave and also the encouragement. She wasn't saying joining a frat was the cure to his problems... but any set of goal oriented people would help.
Gavynn looked over at him with a faint smile on her face. "And I do see a LOT of good in you. She stressed. "A lot more than you probably see in yourself. You're a decent person as in but you have so much potential. I would hate for it to go to waste." She mumbled, below her breath. She wasn't sure how she had quickly dropped all her defenses. But she didn't like how honest she was being with him or herself right now. Gavynn bit her lip and stared at a spot on the carpet for a long while, waiting to hear him respond.

Gavynn's thoughts and opinions proved to be quite useful to Donnie. She was making a bunch of sense to him, so he nodded his head in agreement with her as he too stared at the spot on the floor, "I'll see what I can do." He didn't want to make any promises in that fashion, because he couldn't say that he would one hundred percent become to the perfect guy. It was going to take a load of time and effort in order for Donnie to become the man Gavynn potentially saw him as, as well as Donnie himself. At times his lifestyle did tend to get lonely and weary on his mind, body, and soul, so he maybe he was about ready to make that change for the better. "I'm up for the challenge though." He shot her a quick smile before standing up.
They had been talking for quite a while and Gavynn's soror still hadn't returned to the apartment yet. Donnie stretched his arms as he went over to the window to look outside before turning his head saying, "Okay, so am I being set up for something or what?" Before Gavynn could respond, Donnie chimed in again with a small chuckle, "I know how you girls like to kidnap guys and whatnot, why do I have a feeling like you guys are gonna torture me or something?" It was a joke, but it definitely was weird that Gavynn's soror had not came back yet. Almost like this was set up for Donnie and Gavynn to be alone. Donnie was waiting it out to see what was going to happen and they actually only ended up talking, to his surprise.
An inner itch poking at Donnie's emotions told him that he should probably go home. Nothing was going to happen at this moment right? It was pretty much set in stone by Gavynn anyway, or at least that's the vibe she was giving off. Donnie didn't want to give her any indication that, yes, he still wanted to do something with her. He had just been challenged and he accepted it. He couldn't lose on the first day. Not by any means because Donnie was an extremely competitive man. "I should probably go, though. I'm sure you've got something to do tomorrow. You walking me out or am I letting myself out?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] a line of lyrics goes here Gavynn was happy that he had even listened to her suggestions. She hadn't expected that. All Donnie had done was surprise her today and she wasn't sure how she felt about him now. In a couple of hours he had shown her a side that she had never gotten the chance to witness before. And she had to admit she liked this Donnie a hell of a lot more than the usual pompous asshole Donnie. Although she would be lying if she said she didn't like his cockiness at times."That's all any of us can do, Donnie. No one expects you to be perfect." She smiled as he stood up.
Gavynn laughed and shook her head at him. "Do I look like I have to kidnap anyone?" She said gesturing to her face before laughing once more. "Besides if I was gonna kidnap someone it would be Usher...and I damn sure would not be torturing him." Gavynn had a crush on Usher since she was a small girl and there was no signs of it going away. Gavynn shook her head at the crazy idea. "Asia is probably out with the girls, trying to find someone to take her home tonight." Her soror wasn't a hoe but she definitely didn't have a problem with being promiscuous. She hid it well and protected herself so Gavynn didn't have a complaint.
Gavynn made sure to school her features so her shock didn't show. She had expected him to make at least pass at her in typical Donnie fashion. She was a little confuse but she didn't say anything, just got up. "You need me to drive you back home or to the beach? It doesn't matter." She said leaning on a wall by her door with her car keys in hand.

Donnie shrugged in agreement when she said that no one expected him to be perfect. That kind of eased his mind as he shifted the backpack on his shoulder. He had a car, but he walked to the beach, which wasn't far from his apartment, however, Gavynn's apartment was definitely a nice walk away from his. Not being shy about the situation Donnie chimed in , "Yeah, if you don't mind. I do kind of need a ride, ha." He said with a chuckle. He could have walked, but he wanted to spend more time with her without making it so obvious. Besides, she did offer it to him so it wasn't like she would have expected anything anyway. He rolled his eyes at her 'kidnapping usher' comment.
"He's alright, I guess.. I think I can sing and dance better than him though," Donnie said with a smug smirk on his face. Although he said it in a nonchalant manner, Donnie actually was a pretty decent singer and dancer, he just didn't actively showcase his talents like most other people did. He wasn't that kind of guy to flaunt his music, at least not as much as his body. "For real, singing isn't even all that hard, man.." He cleared his throat and nonchalantly, but melodiously:
"No matter how far I go And no matter how long it takes No one or nothing can change Forever yours here I stand, Here I stand baby,"
Donnie stopped and shrugged, "See, it's easy as hell, man." He never practiced a lick, never was taught. It was just a natural gift that Donnie had. As they made their way to his car Donnie hopped in, didn't put on his seat belt and said to her, "I live in those apartments by the shore. The six-story building."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width: 350px; padding: 10px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/w6MZf.png);] a line of lyrics goes here Gavynn bit back a smirk when he said he needed a ride. She grabbed her keys before going and turning off the lights and other things around the house. She tapped her finger against her chin to make sure she wasn't forgetting anything. Gavynn made sure to grab her phone. She was excited about this ride meaning a little more time to spend with him.
Gavynn raised a brow at his comment. "That is blasphemy! No one sings as good as Usher. No. One. Usher sounds heavenly, divine! It's like God looked down on him and was like 'You know Usher.I'm going to put you on Earth just to make everyone go crazy'."Gavynn babbled on. Gavynn went about locking up the apartment when she froze in her tracks hearing his voice. Damn. He sounded good - really, really, really, good - in fact. Not only did he sound good, he had picked the one song that pulled at heart. The combination was enough to make her knees weak. After her initial looks of shock, then awe, and finally lust, she schooled her features. "You're good." She stated in small, shaky voice before clearing her throat.
They got in the car and buckled up. Gavynn nodded at his directions before turning the volume up on the car radio. "Ironically, I was listening to Usher. But vintage Usher...Bedtime. My favorite song of his...ever." She stated, swaying with the beat as she drove. She didn't sound as good as Donnie nor Usher but she could hold a note. "Whenever i'm near you, my love just comes down. Whenever I see you, I just want you around. Cause I want to feel you all through the day and the night. Whenever i'm near you, it feels like bedtime." Gavynn had always adored the lyrics to this song, they were so sweet.
